Molded FRP Grating

Molded Fiberglass Grating is made, as the name suggests, using a mold with glass strands laid criss-cross and sealed with resin. There are a wide variety of resins available, but we only keep in stock the top quality resin available: Vinyl Ester.

Because Molded Floor Grating has such a higher concentration of resin than Pultruded FRP Grating, it has higher corrosion resistance and durability properties, especially with the top resins. However, the load capacity of molded grating is less than pultruded grating, so if there is a heavy load situation, Pultruded FRP Grate is recommended.

Molded FRP Grating is the ideal solution for marine applications, like the one in the photograph to the right, because it will outlast all other building materials. It is also the #1 choice for situations with extreme weather or corrosion, like chemical plants, food and beverage, industrial applications, waste water treatment facilities, and more.

We keep standard sizes of FRP Grates in stock, all in Vinyl Ester resin. Most floor grates are 4ft x 8ft or 4ft x 12ft, and 1 inch or 1.5 inches high. Our most popular mesh is 1.5" x 1.5", but we also stock 1" x 4". Visit the National Grating Store for more details, or request a quote.
